How much will my pet portrait cost?
I hate it when people say this, but I find myself having to do it...... It all depends on what your wanting. Oils naturally cost more than acrylics. Acrylics will cost more than ink, and ink will cost more than pencil. Most of my recent work has been done in acrylics. My prefrence is to work in oils, but the drying time is horrible. I would rather do the work and get it right out to you than to make you wait the extra week it can take for the oils to dry. Many people are eager to get their painting as soon as possible.

If you are looking at getting a pet portrait. My base price for an 11 X 16 is $200 unframed. That is for an acrylic portrait. If you are wanting an oil portrait, for the same size, I charge a base price of $325. These are VERY competitive prices. I have searched the internet looking into what others charge before I ever decided how to price my own. I have seen them sell for anywhere from in the thousands, to as low as $500 (for portraits that are actually painted *not computer printouts that are enhanced with paint then called "hand painted*). These prices pertian to ONE animal in the painting. If you are wanting more than one pet, please let me know and we will go from there. I do keep my prices resonable. A 25% down payment is required before work will start. I will do the sketch portrait of your animal. Once you have approved it, requested any alterations to this sketch, the painting will be completed and a photo will be sent to you. Once you have approved the final painting, the additional 75% will be due and you can pick it up, or it can be mailed to you, but you must cover shipping charges.

How much does it cost for a wall mural?
All my other work is priced by a base salary, $25 per hour of work. We can get together, look over what you are thinking about having done (this consultation is free, I do not believe in charging someone to discuss ideas!). After coming to a decision on what you would like to see done in your home/work I will take home the notes written during this meeting and figure out the overall time it would involve. I will not charge more than the estimate I give you! If I say a piece of work will cost $600, then even if I work longer than the 24 hours that price is based on, YOU do NOT get charged for it! My guarentee is based on the orriginal agreement of work, and the estimate that I give you for THAT work. Sorry, this does not cover additional work requested after work has already begun. If you want additional work, let me know and we can discuss the price for that work as well. All murals are subject to contract. Meaning, I do write up a contract for work done. Work does not start until the contract is agreed upon, signed, and a base deposit of 25% is paid. When work is half way completed, an additional 50% is due, and finally, when the painting is completed, the remaining 25% is due. This payment method applies to mural work or large items only.
